Earthenware elements used as containers for various types of burials are exhibited. The temple, the only peripteral of the city, was built in the aftermath of the battle of 480 BC between the Greeks and the Carthaginians. The construction of the imposing peripteral building, foreign to the architectural culture of the Chalcidian colony, could be attributed to the desire for political domination of the Agrigentine tyrant Trasideo, son of Theron, over the city. Few fragments of the sculptural decoration of the temple have reached us, which would seem to indicate the choice of the theme of the Gigantomachy.

This room, like the previous one, is dedicated to the Temple of Victory, the only peripteral building of the colony. In the center of the room is the reconstructive model of the temple, made in 1:40 scale on the basis of the topographical and three-dimensional survey. Also on display in the room are the limestone lion gutters found by Marconi during the excavation of 1929-30. Along the walls are displayed other architectural materials in limestone pertaining to the elevation of the Temple such as elements of entablature with owl's beak molding and sima tiles (drip tray).

The investigations have documented not only the occupation of the area from the end of the 7th century BC until the destruction of the city in 409 BC, but also its frequentation in subsequent eras up to the modern age.

The temple, the only peripteral of the city, was built in the aftermath of the battle of 480 BC between the Greeks and the Carthaginians. The construction of the imposing peripteral building, foreign to the architectural culture of the Chalcidian colony, could be attributed to the desire for political domination of the Agrigentine tyrant Trasideo, son of Theron, over the city. Few fragments of the sculptural decoration of the temple have reached us, which would seem to indicate the choice of the theme of the Gigantomachy.

This room, as the previous one, is dedicated to the Temple of Victory, the only peripteral building of the colony. In the center of the room is the reconstructive model of the temple, made in 1:40 scale on the basis of the topographical and three-dimensional survey. Also on display in the room are the limestone lion gutters found by Marconi during the excavation of 1929-30. Along the walls are displayed other architectural materials in limestone pertaining to the elevation of the Temple such as elements of entablature with owl's beak molding and sima tiles (drip tray).
